Art Exhibition: 40
The primary school art exhibition at Lapérouse Museum has become a yearly event that has been running since 2006.
Pre-school to year 5 children from the French School are celebrating the 40 years of the Lycée Condorcet with the 2009 art exhibition which is on display from the 2nd June to the 25th June 2009 at the La perouse Museum.
The opening night on the 2nd June 2009 was a great success. Many came to to admire colourful and expressive artworks, most of them were were group works in which students demonstrated their competence with their use of multi media, materials and techniques as well as their imagination.
The exhibit that comprises illustrated storybooks, big paintings, collages, papier-mâché sculptures as well as an historical retrospective of the French School...
We thank our budding artists, school teachers, the parents, family and friends who have guided the children and came to encourage our budding artists within their creative endeavour.
We would like to give a special thanks to Elizabeth Broomhead (curator of the museum) as well as the Aboriginal community of the land.
