A few weeks after the official celebration of the 40th anniversary of our school, another great celebration has been held on Saturday 28th of March in the premises of the school : the Annual School Fair ! Great ambiance and perfect weather !

This year we choose to put the School Fair under the theme of ”2009: the 40th Anniversary of the school and the Year of France in Australia”, which explains the “Blue White Red” decoration all over the school.

Kids enjoyed the rides which had been especially set up for the occasion, small and big kids had a great time, the dodgem cars being the highlights of the rides this year !

But the primary school area had also a very nice setup with 17 school games stalls which has been held by the pre-school and primary teachers, the parents and the students. Special mention to the great French Tourism Stall where kids could learn lots of interesting facts about French Regions. 

A cajun music concert has also been held in the afternoon as well as a tennis table tournament which attracted lots of “big kids”.

The food stalls had delicious French crepes, homemade cakes, French and Swiss sandwiches and the traditional bbq had a great success as usual.

The 2009 raffle was by far the most popular attraction with more than 70 prizes drawn all over the day and lots of happy winners. The Fete Committee thanks all the generous sponsors of this raffle for their contribution.

The Fete Committee would also like to thank all children, parents, teachers and staff members who have contributed to make this Annual Fair a great success. A special mention has to be done to the involvement of the secondary students and teachers this year.
