Hello everyone,

Once again, students, parents and teachers have enthusiastically accepted to play the game on Melbourne Cup Day.

At start, as a shy attempt of opening to the local culture, the idea of the journey with its traditional parade has been straightaway adopted by the population of Condorcet. One of the marking moments of this event will be, without any doubt, when we welcomed the Cup itself, with its official procession within the school in 2006.

Over the years, the format of the event has evolved: hat competitions, parades, outings in town. But the common point over all these years remains the same: a friendly moment, a moment of excitement, a good-humoured moment shared by everyone within our local community.

Today, we can really consider the Melbourne Cup Day as a tradition.

Let us all welcome the success of our eighth edition of the journey of the Melbourne Cup and honour all its participants.
