This first stage in the education system fulfils three objectives:
Educate, Socialise, Learn and Practice
Each preschool teacher is helped in their classroom by a preschool assistant. The children are able to evolve, adapt to school life, learn about living in a community and develop their skills in a fun and studious environment.
The children are free to evolve in a classroom composed of different work areas. They learn to express themselves with their body and through speech, and discover the basics of writing and mathematics.
At the end of preschool, a child should be able to write their name, divide a word into syllables, count to at least 50, and have basic notions of English.
The French School of Sydney welcomes children of all nationalities from the age of 3. The School places an importance on the double culture and bilingualism.
The petite and moyenne classes are located in the Preschool building.
