Yr4-B - Black self-portraits
Self-portraits with mirrors.
Students have been using chalk
pastel on black paper.
The objective for each student was to observe
their own features and emphasize certain characteristics and use
vibrant colours to create an individual and imaginary self- portrait.
Students learn the following concepts by exploring volume and contrast:
- Volume : students learn to explore their medium and create
interesting effects by applying the medium with different pressure
- Contrast: students learn how to create contrasting effects using complementary colours.
