At the age of six, children begin Primary school where they will spend the next five years. They learn to read, write, count, improve their English and use IT resources. They also spend time on artistic and scientific learning.

In the Fundamental Learning Stage, the focus is on developing language skills: French and Mathematics, as well as civic education and discovery of the world around us. Developing motor skills is also an important part of the learning process.

In the Further Learning Stage, as well as consolidating the concepts previously learnt, new methods are introduced to prepare students for secondary learning in Collège.

English classes are held for all Primary classes for one hour per day. Three levels have been introduced, in order to allow all children to participate in a class adapted to their level of English. More advanced levels study the same books as in local Australian schools.
