School Life - Student Support Team

The Vie Scolaire supports students in Secondary School by assisting them outside of class. Our Vie Scolaire team is made up of our Senior Education Advisor (CPE) and at team of Education Assistants (AEDs). The AEDs are important partners of the pedagogical and administrative team. They supervise the students while ensuring their safety, especially outside of class (recess, lunch break, homework help, etc.). They ensure that everyone respects our rules and procedures. The AEDs are also in charge of following up on absences and late arrivals. The Vie Scolaire team also supports the CESC (Health Education and Citizenship Committee) by planning, in collaboration with the different actors of the LCS community, prevention sessions on health and citizenship issues such as addictions, harassment, sexuality, road safety and first aid training.

The Senior Education Advisor (CPE):

Raphaël Teulet, the CPE
  • Ensures that students follow school rules and learn about rules in life in general.
Supervises the functioning of the Students’ House, a place of conviviality and expression.
  • Prepares class representatives for their role.
  • Coordinates projects for the CVL – Senior High Student Life Council
  • Organises the School Life Department and assists it in managing the daily behaviour of students: late arrivals, absences, difficulties, etc.
  • Establishes a link between students, families and the school.

Pronote - Stay up to date

Pronote is an online administrative management system used in French schools and colleges to communicate and exchange information in real time. It is used by everyone involved in the school for all aspects of school life. Once your child is enrolled at the school, you will receive a personal access code to use the Pronote system from your computer or smartphone. All parents and students are encouraged to use Pronote to access class schedules, important school information, and the Canteen’s daily menu and other information concerning their children. They can also read and make notes on their child or children’s progress and communicate directly with teachers. Lycée Condorcet uses the Pronote software to ensure open and effective communication between students, teachers, administrative staff, management and parents.

Transport to and from LCS

Public Transport

NSW Transport has created a public school bus especially intended for LCS students from Y1 level and above. Students can ride the bus with the same OPAL card they use when using other NSW public transports.  Please note that there is no adult on the bus other than the driver. To use the bus students must be independent and able to apply good judgment. Rules of good conduct are imposed. Misconduct by a student may result, after warning, in his/her exclusion from school transport.

School Opal Card

The School Opal Card gives eligible school students free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school on trains, buses, ferries and light rail in the Opal network. School Opal card is only for travel to and from school on school days and doesn’t cover travel to After School Care, school excursions, sports and other activities away from school, so it’s a good idea to get a Child/Youth Opal card for personal travel.

When our school is operating while Australian schools are on holiday, we provide students with a letter to show to bus drivers so that they can be authorised to use their student opal card as per our school special circumstances. To be eligible, a student must be Australian or have permanent residency and must meet the following home-school distance criteria:

Years K-2: no minimum distance.
Years 3-6: 1.6km straight line distance or 2.3km walking or further.
Years 7-12: 2km straight line distance or 2.9km walking or further.

Child/Youth Opal Card

The Child/Youth Opal Card gives concession fares on trains, buses, ferries and light rail in the Opal network. Are eligible children aged 4-15 and children aged 16 and above provided that they are enrolled in a secondary school.

School bus routes

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that there is only one bus service in the morning and afternoon. Therefore, high school students who are required to arrive at 8:00 am at school or who finish later will have to use another means of transport.

An email is sent to all parents at the beginning of each semester about the registration process on Eduka. After registering their child, parents must provide him/her with an OPAL card (see the OPAL card section above).

If, by exception, a child is not taking the bus one day, parents must inform the school by sending an email to
